Spencer,
I have no doubt that some good guys fell through the cracks and it is a
real shame. I think we can work something out that could rectify the
situation.
Here's what we need to do.
1. The idea of posting those initiated members on your web site and
finding the people that slipped through is a great idea. We need to do this
as a one time deal rather than one or two at a time. Understand that each
person would be getting a national number as well as a local number and it
will be much easier for all those involved to do this in one large group.
2. When we have the list of people that want to initiate we will need
someone to vouch for them that they were in good standing and have gone
through the ceremony. This is to prevent anyone that was blackballed from
trying to become a member. Past Sages like Brian Hoffson can vouch for
people in his era.
3. When we have that list we will offer a reduced one time fee for
initiation. The usual fee is $325.00 but it will be reduced to $150.00.
Besides becoming a life member of Sigma Pi they will receive:
National and Local number
Sigma Pi badge with their national number engraved on the back
Membership shingle for framing
Membership card for wallet
Lifetime subscription to the Emerald
Lets reach out to those brothers that got caught in a administrative mess
and put them on our rolls.
Fraternally,
Mark
